Hankki Banff, located at 206 BUFFALO ST, BANFF, AB is seeking three permanent full-time Cooks for the restaurant. These positions are available to be filled immediately.

Specific duties include:

preparation of Korean-style meals according to customer preference (Korean grilled meats, dumplings, cupbap, bulgogi and more)

supervision and coordination of kitchen helpers to deliver food in a fast and efficient manner

keeping records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory and placing orders for items as necessary

maintaining a clean and safe kitchen work environment

assist with the planning of menus and daily specials

assist with the training of new kitchen staff members

Specific Requirements of the Job include:

ability to work well in a fast paced restaurant environment, under time pressure

ability to present meals in an artistic and attractive manner

standing for long periods of time during their shift; meet the physical demands of typical restaurant work (lifting heavy loads, kitchen heat, working under time pressure)

be capable of interacting with staff and customers in English

have good knowledge of Korean culinary customs and Korean foods

communicating well with other staff to ensure that kitchen operations are efficient and effective

be a good team player

Education and Experience Required:

Secondary School Graduation Certificate required

1-2 years of previous experience as a Cook

The selected candidate must have their own mode of transportation to & from work (public transit is available), and shall be required to provide a clean Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work.

Wage: $17-18 per hour

Hours: 30-44/week
